Bred in Oakland, CA, the Rainbow Sherbert breeding project was a collaborative effort between DEO Farms, and Wizard Trees. Doja Pak was also brought in to help develop what we know today as RS11!
There is some specualtion about the exact parental genetics used for this strain, as many other breeders have developed their own versions. In a recent interview, Doja Pak identified OZK and Pink Guava crossed with Black Sherbert as the parental strains of RS11! However, with the strain's rise in popularity, many other breeders have created their own versions of the Rainbow Sherbert strain. For instance, Blimburn Seeds only credits Pink Guava and OZK in their RS11 strain genetics, while other sources say some variants use Gelato.
