In 2021, inspired by a growers' focus group, the Hey abby team was formed. This team from Orange County, California, comprising growers, engineers, ID designers, and developers, set out to create the ultimate grower's dream box.
The concept of a fully automated grow box isn't new; it dates back to the 1980s. Many companies have proposed various ideas and even developed prototypes, but none successfully mass-produced a box that truly worked.

With the Hey abby grow box, the growing cycle is fully automated with a DWC ecosystem built in a 2 sq. ft. box, plug and play. Growers only need to change the water and add pre-packed nutrients every week.
Hey abby's grow service combines grow supplies with personalized 1-on-1 support. The premixed nutrient packs are ready to use without the hassle of measuring and mixing. Plus, the high-density carbon filter is easy to install and effectively filters out any odors.
Through the Hey abby app, growers can instantly connect with our in-house experts, who have over 10 years of industry experience, to help with any growing questions. The Hey abby grow box offers a success rate that is four times higher and requires 90% less operation time compared to traditional home growing methods.
Cannabis growing is precise work, requiring constant monitoring of pH, humidity, and temperature. Prior to the Hey abby app, growers used spreadsheets to manually log over 10 data points. With the Hey abby app and the sensor array, a full grow calendar is provided, allowing growers to log data with one click and generate beautiful data charts.
Plant parents are eager to share their babies on social media and exchange ideas with other growers. Unfortunately, most social media platforms are not friendly with cannabis content. The Hey abby app hosts a Trend section where growers can easily share their photos and grow data. Hey abby also hosts one of the largest Discord servers for cannabis growing.

We wanted to make a grow box that provided users with Hey abby quality, but at a more affordable price. Many of our growers donât require the super hi-tech aspects to Hey abby. We removed the digital interface, the viewing window, and the height sensors, which are not essential to someone seeking a simple growing experience. With our 420 Edition, you now get to grow plants easily from home, whatever your budget.
Started growing with Hey abby with two failed attempts in a tent. And haven't looked back since, I own 5 of these boxes. This is the best way for anyone to get into this hobby and start growing. The results I'm geting are tremendous.
