In the journey of maintaining and optimizing your Hey abby cannabis grow kit, there may come a time when upgrading or replacing the top motherboard becomes a necessity. This guide will walk you through the step-by-step process of safely and efficiently replacing this part.

• 1. Power the box off, and open the door of the grow box.

• 2. Remove the 6 screws holding the top panel on (screws are placed around the light).

• 3. Remove the top panel, from the back of the box- lift upward. Once the top is removed, flip it over to reveal the underside.

• 4. Take a photo of the mother boards terminal connections, to remember where everything gets plugged in- then unplug all the terminal connections.
• 5. Remove the 4 screws holding the mother board in place, which will allow you to remove the board.

• 6. Now you can discard the old mother board, and replace it either the new one!
• 7. Reconnect all the terminal connections tightly, in the proper place!

Activate the Grow box after the motherboard change

Below process only applies to some users.

If your replacement motherboard is shipped directly from our PCB manufacturer, it won't include the serial number (SN). Once you pair it with your grow box, you'll see an activation alert on the app. Click Start. 

To activate, click the 'Scan Barcode' button, then use your phone's camera to scan the barcode located behind the grow box. Should you encounter any issues completing the activation, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team right away.
