D-Link Router: How to Create Separate WiFi SSIDs for 2.4GHz and 5GHz Bands?

By default, TP-Link router's Wi-Fi names (SSID) for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are identical. To distinguish between the two bands, follow these steps:

1. On the D-Link home page, navigate to the Settings tab and choose "Wireless."

2. In the 2.4GHz section, configure Wi-Fi Name (SSID) as <xxx>-2.4G, with xxx denoting the Wi-Fi name.

3. for the 5GHz section, set Wi-Fi Name (SSID) to <xxx>-5G, with xxx denoting the Wi-Fi name.

4. The final step is to save the settings. 

Upon completion, the updated Wi-Fi names will appear on your mobile phone's Wi-Fi settings page.

Note: After modifying Wi-Fi names, reconnect devices to this wireless router. The password remains the same unless modified.
