Candy Cane
Strain
The Candy Cane strain is a powerhouse hybrid strain that leans towards the indica side, but definitely has some strong sativa traits. Candy Cane gets its namesake from its unique flavor (we'll get into that more later!). This strain's origin is quite interesting as well, with a rich lineage and breeder's background that brings validity to its popularity.
In this Candy Cane strain review, we'll get into everything from its characteristics and benefits to growing tips! Life's sweeter with a little Candy Cane in your stash.

Growing Tips
Growers have "grown" to love Candy Cane, whether it’s the auto or photoperiod variety! Candy Cane weed strain is a big yielder when grown right, thanks to its mango lineage. It prefers a warmer climate with lots of air movement.
Candy Cane is very receptive to FIMming, and LST training techniques like SOG or SCROG, and can handle most of what is thrown at it, as far as trimming and training goes—Candy Cane is very tough and resilient!
Candy Cane strain goes through a 3-4 week early-flower stretch phase, which is somewhat abnormal for an indica-dominant strain. If you're growing with limited space, make sure you train the plant well and be prepared to do some height management if necessary. Candy Cane (photoperiod) will finish flowering in around 9 weeks!

Characteristics
Candy Cane buds are usually cone-shaped with pointed tips, showcasing a yellow-green color that fades into purple hues. This strain is known for its exotic aroma, and somewhat contradicting flavors that catch most users off guard.
Upon opening a bag or jar of Candy Cane strain, you get sweet, tropical fruit aroma. But that changes once you start to break the flower down or grind it, it quickly turns into a skunky, mango-funk aroma. The smoke is also overly sweet, and fruity.
You may start to notice the smoothness of the smoke, something is different about how easy it is on the throat. Upon exhale, a strong minty menthol flavor takes over and almost seems to cool the overall smoking experience.
Origin & Use

Origin of Candy Cane Strain
Candy Cane strain has a very rich lineage. It was bred by the highly revered canadian breeder and seed bank, Crop King Seeds. Unlike the typical practice of crossing two strains, they took it up a notch by combining three legendary ones: AK47 x Mango x White Widow. The AK-47 contributes to Candy Cane's fast onset of cerebral effects, while the Mango brings the sweet, fruity, tropical flavor to the mix. White Widow adds not only potency, with massive resin production, but also a minty menthol flavor. Candy cane is the most popularly available in an autflowering variety.
